Morris Corfield are pleased to offer our customers the latest range of Teagle Tomahawk Bale Processors.

Long been known for its strength and reliability, the 2023 winter housing season will see the new 8200 model available that has been redesigned from the ground up, retaining all the strength of the 7100 and 8100 models that the 8200 range replaces. The new 8200 line from Teagle includes 2 models:

8200 for feeding and bedding, available either mounted or trailed.

  • 8250 for precision straw processing, also either mounted or trailed.

‘SYNCHRO’ control system in both variants offers the operator:

  •  Pause - Stop the flow of material at the touch of a button. Helps to prevent blockages and a lower torque required on start up.
  • Resume - Bale restraint returns to previous position. Machine remembers the previous position before the pause
  • Automated Mode 1 - High output. Output is optimised, depending on application and material type. Typically used for bedding loose housing.
  • Automated Mode 2 - Reduced output. Output is reduced, depending on application and material type. Typically used for short chop precision processing.
  • Manual control - Total operator flexibility. Control the speed of processing, bale restraint position and conveyor independently.

All the above are managed through our tried and tested paired Wifi control desk that has been updated to include the new functions and reconfigured to improve operator comfort.

Spread, Shred or Chop at the touch of a button

The unique 8250 Dual Chop design for processing short material has been substantially updated with a 36% increase in the speed of the chopping system to provide a fine and consistent chop length, designed specifically to suit the needs of TMR and Poultry/Cubicle bedding applications. The blade beam can be disengaged to allow material to be spread without chopping or engaged at the push of a button for short chop mode.

The 8200 feeding and bedding models also now benefit from the largest diameter cross beater on the market to ensure smooth delivery of processed materials. Material then passes through an updated fan and swivel chute with improved material flow and blow distance. Hardox® is now included as standard in the chute components.

Tried and tested

Before its release, the various models from the 8200 range were put through their paces and thoroughly tested by willing farmers across the country. The applications ranged from feeding silage bales to chopping straw short for TMR and the more traditional usage of bedding loose housing.

After 4 months of testing the machines, we caught up with them to get their verdicts.

Matt Annear, Tregair Farm uses a bale processor daily on the farm for bedding and feeding silage bales. This is what he had to say about the trailed Teagle 8200.

“There are some great new features on this machine, which makes the jobs of feeding and bedding easier. We save at least half an hour each time we are bedding up. Feeding silage bales is easy too. The 8200 chops the silage well and the cattle eat all of it. We have only had the machine 4 months and already we can see the daily gains.”

Greg Gray and Adam Lovatt from Clinton Devon Farms had the 8250 mounted model on trial and don’t want to give it back!

“The 8250 is like our mounted 7100, but on steroids...it's more robust, sturdier and the new A frame makes it a breeze to hitch on to any tractor. From a user-friendly point of view, there are some great new features on the control box. The ability to stop the processing mid flow and then start it again, without any blockages or issues is a fantastic feature. In the last 4 months we have put over 400 bales through the machine without any issues.”

Joe Sweet from Sweets Dairy is impressed by how fast it processes the bales.

“A bale would normally take 20-25 mins to process with our old machine, this one only takes 5 mins, so we are now looking for other things to fill the time, which is a nice problem to have.
